The president delivered his weekly radio address and focused on the balanced budget agreement recently reached with Congress. The president reviewed the economic achievements and trends during his presidency such as the increase in jobs and the lowering of the federal deficit. The president said the agreement is “a historic accord.” The president said the agreement will bring the deficit to zero in five years, expand health care coverage to five million children, protecting the environment, provide tax relief to families who wish to send their children in college and the most significant increase in education funding in thirty years. close
