Paul Brodeur talked about his Secrets: A Writer in the Cold War. His new book focuses on the secrets he and the government kept as he worked as a counterintelligence agent and his memoirs as a writer during that era. He said that the theme could be summarized as “the climate of secrecy and the tolerance of misconduct during the Cold War exists today and presents a grave threat to the free society in which most Americans think they live.” Following his prepared remarks, Mr. Brodeur took questions from the audience. close
