Journalists discussed how they are covering events in Africa and future media coverage of the region. They talked about the lack of freedom of the press in most African nations and how journalists have to change their perceptions about Africa. They also took questions from the audience. This was final part of a symposium on covering Africa in the year 2000. Mr. Abdul-Raheem and Mr. Brown participated by telephone. close
