Gallup Organization officials released a new survey of racial attitudes in the U.S. The study focuses on seven areas, including contact and prejudice, black experiences with discrimination, perceptions of race relations and the government’s role in race relations. He also compared the results of this survey to earlier surveys on the same subject. Gallup conducted the survey from January through February 1997 with 3,000 telephone interviews. close
