President Bill Clinton spoke to supporters about the future of the Democratic Party and his goals for next year’s congressional elections. The president said that the Democratic Party was victorious in 1992 because it asked itself what citizens wanted the 21st century to be like in the United States. This included making the U.S. the leader in peace and freedom around the world and a place that celebrates its differences yet is bound together by a common goal. close
