John Sweeney, AFL-CIO President, announced a public relations campaign launched by the AFL-CIO aimed at enhancing the image of unions and membership increase. The campaign will feature television commercials and public outreach efforts by local branches. John Sweeney and Doug Dority, AFL-CIO Public Affairs Committee Chairman, talked about the goals of the campaign which include membership and political initiatives. They previewed the commercials and then took questions from the audience. close
