Participants examined the future solvency of the Social Security program and the possibility of privatization of the program. They stressed that the program must be significantly changed to remain solvent in the face of the retirement of baby boomers. They also took questions from the audience. The 60 Plus Association also released a paper by Richard Hart titled, “Personalizing Social Security: Unplugging the Third Rail.” This week marks the 62nd anniversary of the program. close
