Today’s House Hearings, Temporary FY 98 Spending Bill, Rules Committee. The House is considering a $31.8 Billion in Commerce, Justice, and State Department spending for FY 98. The amendment would require programs receiving Legal Services Corp grants to report information about their cases. The information would include where a case is filed, case number, subject of case with names/addresses of those involved. The bill provided $250 Million dollars for the Legal Services Corporation. H R 2267 was agreed to, 213 to 189. The House moved on to One Minute Speeches and then to Special Order Speeches. close
