Former Representative William Cohen (R-ME) spoke about the House Judiciary Committee’s consideration of articles of impeachment against President Nixon 40 years previously when he was a freshman member of the committee. He was interviewed by Steve Scully before, during, and after airings of selected opening statements from members of the committee on July 24 and 25, 1974, as they considered articles of impeachment against President Nixon. The archival footage included Committee Chair Peter Rodino and Representatives Jerome Waldie, Trent Lott, Lawrence Hogan, William Cohen, Barbara Jordan, Charles Sandman, Tom Railsback, Robert Drinan, Carlos Moorhead, and William Hungate. close
