Attorney General Janet Reno

announced that the juvenile arrest rate for violent crime had decreased by 2.9 percent between 1994 and 1995, the first decline in seven years.

She also said she had been trying to secure the passage of a juvenile justice bill in Congress.

She was asked questions by the press on the investigation of Vice President Gore’s fund-raising activities, the appointment of an independent counsel, and other topics. close
