Senate Judiciary Subcommittee members heard testimony from current and former FBI officials on operations of the FBI Crime Lab since an April report revealed numerous problems in the lab and in its staff. Crime Lab officials and others testified about actions taken to correct problems and discipline employees and about the impact of the problems on criminal cases through appeals based on FBI lab analysis or testimony being faulty. Rep. Robert Wexler was allowed to question witnesses following his own testimony. close
