White House economic advisers, Janet Yellen, Council of Economic Advisors Chairman, and Gene Sperling, National Economic Advisor, talked with reporters about the Census Bureau’s report on income and poverty. They discussed the lack of health insurance for children, even though the child poverty rate has fallen. They also noted that the U.S. economy continues to grow at a healthy pace and that the federal budget will soon be balanced.
