French Foreign Minister Roland Dumas addresses the UN General Assembly speaking for the European Economic Community. He spoke on prospects on peace, human rights, the strategic reshuffling of forces in Eastern Europe and arms reductions, the Independence of Namibia and removal of Apartied in South Africa, the move to democracy in Central America, the cease fire between Iraq and Iran, the withdraw of Soviet troops in Afghanistan, Vietnamese withdraw from Cambodia, a settlement of the Arab/Israeli conflict and Palestinian autonomy, the end of the war in Lebanon and Cyprus and the resolution of other conflicts in Mauritania, Sudan, Somalia, East Timor and elsewhere. He then spoke on global economic disparity and the efforts to begin the European Common Market. He concludes with developments on environmental issues and drug trafficing. close
