Kyong Shik Lee, Bank of Korea spoke about the current economic situation in South Korea in the wake of the announcement by South Korean officials that they would seek assistance from the International Monetary Fund. He focused on the problems for large Korean firms and the financial institutions which support them in adapting to rapid changes in financial markets. Kim Jae-Chun, Bank of Korea then made a graphical presentation on the topic. After his prepared remarks, he took questions from the audience. close
