From the Elliott Bay Book Company in Seattle, Washington, Author Edward Larson talked about his book, “Summer for the Gods: The Scopes Trial and America’s Continuing Debate over Science and Religion.” The book examines the famous 1925 when a Tennessee teacher was tried for teaching evolution as well as how this trial and the issues involved have been debated since then. After reading excerpts from the book, he took questions from the audience. Larson won the 1998 Pulitzer Prize for History. close
