Representative Richard Gephardt(D-MO),House minority leader
voiced his opinion about the future of the Democratic Party and the policies of the Clinton administration.
He talked about the widening gap in income between Americans and said that even though the economy is doing well, many Americans are suffering hardships and are unable to earn a good income, even though they work. He said as income and cultural gaps grow, Americans risk losing a sense of common destiny. He took questions from the audience following his prepared remarks.
