Geology & Planetary Science Professor William Cassidy concluded that a meteorite strike was extremely unlikely considering how few space particles actually reach the lower part of the atmosphere. Federal Aviation Administration Special Agent Edward Kittel concluded that a weapon did not cause the explosion because there were no signature traces on the wreckage.
