Music was provided by the Capital City Children’s Chorus, the Capitol Four, a group of four Republican representatives, and the Congressional Chorus during the lighting ceremony of the Capitol Christmas tree. Alan Hantman, Architect of the Capitol served as the master of ceremonies. Speaker of the House Representative Newt Gingrich (R-GA) talked about what the holiday season means to all Americans and the importance of a spiritual base in American society. close
