Participants briefed reporters on a health care quality survey provided by Peter Hart Research Associates. It was conducted in October and questioned 1232 health care professionals. The report indicates that most health care workers see a decline in health care quality due to the closing of health care facilities, the expansion of managed care and the growth of large hospital corporations. It also indicates a perceived problem with declining staffing levels. Two nurses from Geisinger Health Center provided their personal perspectives on these problems. close
