In his weekly radio address, President Bill Clinton discussed the breakthroughs in biomedical science and said he remained committed to federal funding of medical research. He deplored the recent announcement that a U.S. scientist was planning to clone human beings. He urged Congress to act on legislation he proposed last year to ban this kind of cloning research. close
