Senate Intelligence Committee chair, Sen. Richard Burr (R-NC), reveals that the NSA has a domestic bulk collection program for Internet metadata under the Executive Branch's interpretation of Section 215 of the Patriot Act. Although Sen. Burr does not provide additional details, it is likely that the NSA compels US ISPs to provide information in a similar fashion to the call records program. Each US ISP likely provides daily Internet metadata including, but not limited to, source IP Address (i.e. personal laptop) and destination IP Address (i.e. Facebook) for all traffic transiting its' network. Analysis of an ISP's Internet metadata records would allow the NSA to reconstruct every customer's browsing history (visited URLs, search history, email (sender, recipient, and subject), etc... Combining all US ISPs' Internet metadata records into a 'giant haystack' would allow the NSA to effectively map all US Internet traffic, which includes a significant portion of every US cit close
