Senators Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) spar on the Senate floor over comments the Texas Republican made about "Kate's Law," which would establish mandatory minimum sentences for undocumented immigrants who re-enter the country after being deported. The law is named after Kathryn Steinle, who was allegedly killed by a five-times deported illegal immigrant in San Francisco. Senate Democrats later objected to bringing up the bill. The two senators also disagreed on the renaming of street in Washington, D.C. for Chinese dissident and Nobel Prize winner Liu Xia. close
