At the brief News conference in Brussels, Belgium, following the emergency meeting on March 22, 2016, on the terrorist attacks on the city's airport and subway system, Belgium's Justice Minister Koen Geens summarises the joint declaration of action by the EU together with the Belgian Council of the Ministers of the Interior and Justice on: 1) the interoperability of databases e.g. Schengen and Interpol, 2) the full exchange of judicial and intelligence information, 3) the increase of cooperation among joint investigation teams of judicial and police services, 4) and the aspiration of joint efforts with international communication operators toward opening of the Internet/ VOIP network traffic (e.g. Skype, Viber) to law enforcement. close
