Carl Borick talked about his book, Relieve Us of This Burthen: American Prisoners of War in the Revolutionary South, 1780-1782, about the Revolutionary War period when British forces most actively campaigned in the South and fought a series of battles with Continental forces. Mr. Borick is also the director of the Charleston Museum in South Carolina and addresses the 1780 siege of Charleston, during which about 6000 Americans were taken prisoner, the most of any engagement during the war. close
