In introducing Trump's speech today, Christie said it is an extremely troubling time in America. He characterized "law and order" as America's number one problem, stoking the fear that families in this nation are unsafe. Sounding every bit in favor of a quick-on-the-trigger strongman, Christie said the country needed a leader who "does not blink or hesitate to take the strong action that needs to be taken to make sure that those both at home and around the world know that lawlessness will not be tolerated from anyone, no matter how powerful, or lack of power that those people may have, law and order needs to be the first priority once again in our country." close
