Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid strongly condemns President-Elect Donald Trump for his racist and sexist rhetoric and the hateful actions he has inspired in his supporters. Sen. Reid speaks out against the bigotry openly displayed since Mr. Trump's election and says it is the duty of Democrats to reject the normalization of those sentiments on behalf of the American people. He goes on to criticize the appointment of Senior Advisor Stephen Bannon and Trump's support from white supremacists. Lastly he calls on Mr. Trump to accept responsibility and rise to the integrity of the office by disavowing his past statements and current appointments. He said, "Show Americans that racism, bullying and bigotry have no place in the White House or in America." close
