In response to a question from Senator Ron Wyden on whether the White House was informed of the contents of its background check into then-Staff Secretary Rob Porter, Director Wray says a partial report was done by March 2017 and that it was completed by July. Without providing specifics on its contents, Director Wray also adds that there was some follow up last fall and that additional information was provided just last month. The White House has said that it only learned "the extent" of domestic abuse allegations by Rob Porter's ex-wives, who both spoke to the FBI, last Tuesday when published by the Daily Mail. close
