User Clip: Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) signals his intention to consider the CREATES Act in the House of Representatives

Speaker Ryan today spoke about getting the Energy and Commerce Committee and the Judiciary Committee to work towards moving the CREATES Act through the House of Representatives. The bipartisan legislation would put an end to an anti-competitive abuse used by some brand-name pharmaceutical manufacturers to keep affordable generic and biosimilar medicines from reaching patients. The Senate version of the CREATES Act has almost one-quarter of that body signed on as cosponsors - almost evenly split among Democrats and Republicans. The CREATES Act remedies an abuse that the Trump Administration has identified as keeping the price of drugs artificially inflated. close
