President Trump on China Trade Practices and American Farmers

During a speech in Granite City, Illinois, President Trump says the U.S. lost factories and jobs to other countries due to "stupidity." He says he probably got elected largely for raising this issue and says "that’s not free trade, that's fools trade." The president calls China's trade practices "very abusive" and states "we're putting the world's trade cheaters on notice. No one rips off the United States of America and nobody takes advantage of our workers or our companies anymore." Also, he mentions providing the agriculture industry with financial aid and says, "we will not let anyone bully our wonderful American farmers." close
