White House: President "Did Nothing Wrong"

White House Press Secretary has responded to Michael Cohen's plea agreement, saying that President Trump "did nothing wrong." She made the claim at a White House briefing a day after Cohen entered a guilty plea in a Manhattan court, in which he said he had made a payment to Stormy Daniels ahead of the 2016 election in coordination with and at the direction of a candidate running for federal office, believed to be the president. Ms. Sanders also pushed back against the suggestion that the president lied to the American people about his knowledge of the payments, which she called a "ridiculous accusation." close
