President Trump has condemned the media after comments he made off the record about trade talks with Canada in an interview with Bloomberg News were leaked to the Toronto Star. During the interview, President Trump said that he is not making any compromises with the Canadians, but that he can't say that publicly. Bloomberg, which did not deny the authenticity of the comments, has denied leaking them to the Star. Speaking at an event in Charlotte, North Carolina, on retirement security , the president said, "in the end, it's okay, because at least Canada knows how I feel, so that's fine." close
