Senator Graham Calls on President to Reverse Course on Syria Troop Withdrawal

South Carolina Republican Senator Lindsey Graham, along with Democratic Senators Jack Reed and Robert Menenedez, calls on President Trump to reverse course on his decision to withdraw U.S. troops from Syria within 30 days and do it based on conditions on the ground. He says there is growing bipartisan support for his resolution in the Senate. He warns that a premature withdrawal would result in the SDF being decimated and a corridor being set up between Tehran and Lebanon that would hurt U.S. national security interests in the region. Senator Graham, who has just returned from Afghanistan, also cautioned against the belief that ISIS has been defeated in that country, as well. close
