During their weekly news conference on their legislative agenda, House Republican leaders respond to questions on the future of their colleague Representative Steve King following recent comments he made to the New York Times about white nationalism and white supremacy. Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, who has stripped Mr. King of all his committee assignments, says the decision to resign is up to the Iowa Republican. However, Representative Liz Cheney, the GOP Conference Chair, says she agrees with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell that Mr. King should find another line of work, calling his recent comments "abhorrent." close
