Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats provides an update to the Senate Intelligence Committee on the latest threat assessment. He says that Russia will continue to interfere in U.S. elections and that the partnership between Russia and China against the U.S. will continue to grow. He also says that while North Korea has not conducted any nuclear tests over the past year, they are unlikely to give up their WMD program, considering it vital to regime survival. Turning to the Middle East, Director Coats says that ISIS is on its way to being defeated but that the terrorist group still has thousands of troops in Syria and Iraq. He also says that the Saudi Royal Family remains popular among the Saudi people despite Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman's involvement in the murder of Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi. close
