Education Secretary Betsy DeVos clashes with Illinois Democratic Senator Dick Durbin over the administration's budget proposal to cut $18 million for the Special Olympics from her department's budget. Secretary DeVos defends the cuts, saying she has donated part of her salary to them. She also takes issue with comments by Senator Durbin about the amount of debt incurred by students attending for-profit colleges. "Let's not use disabled children in a twisted way for your political narrative. That is just disgusting and shameful, she says. Senator Durbin responds that "eliminating $18 million out of a $70-or-$80 billion budget...is shameful, too." close
