Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and Majority Leader Mitch McConnell debate the GOP's decision to make a change to rules reducing the length of post-Cloture debate time of federal district court judges and sub-Cabinet nominations from 30 hours to two hours. Following their remarks, the Senate voted 51-48 to cut debate time on presidential nominations. Republican Senators Mike Lee and Susan Collins joined Democrats in opposing the rule change. Senator Kamala Harris didn't vote. close
