Secretary of State Mike Pompeo says it shouldn't surprise anyone that Russia interfered in 2016 presidential election, saying it's being going on for decades and will likely continue., saying, "It goes without saying they were a threat to our elections in 1974, they interfered in our elections in the '80s. The fact that this town seemed shocked by the fact the Russians don’t care for us — in that case the Soviet Union — I find stunning...We should expect in 2050 the Russians will still be at it still." Secretary Pompeo also says the Obama administration should have done more to address the challenge, but says that it's now the responsibility of the Trump administration to deal with the the security threat coming from Russia, China and Iran. However, he declines to comment on a statement by Rudy Giuliani that there is "nothing wrong" with getting information from foreign sources during an election campaign.
