House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, responding to a reporter's questions on escalating tensions with Iran after the shooting down of a U.S. drone in the regions, says the situation is "dangerous" and that "high tension wires are up in the region." The speaker also says the U.S. has "to be strategic and strong about how e protect our interests." And she cautions the administration, saying, "We cannot be reckless in what we do. I don't think the president wants to go to war. There's no appetite for war in our country. Speaker Pelosi says Wendy Sherman, who negotiated the Iran nuclear deal in 2015, and former CIA Director John Brennan will brief senior members of her party later today. She's also called for another briefing on the situation to include more members. close
