President Trump Says He Could End Afghan War in a Week

During a meeting with Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan, President Trump suggests he could end the war in Afghanistan in a week, but says that he doesn't want to do that because of the number of casualties it would involve. “I could win that war in a week. I don’t want to kill 10 million people.... Afghanistan could be wipes off the face of the earth. I don’t want to go that route. ... I have a plan that could win that war in a very short period of time," the president says. He also says the U.S. shouldn't be the world's policeman and that building schools and roads should be left to the government and people of Afghanistan, not the U.S. close
