President Trump Calls Representative Tlaib a "Lunatic"

During an address to the Teen Student Action Summit in Washington, D.C., President Trump calls freshman Democratic Representative Rahsida Tlaib a "lunatic" and recalls her disrupting a speech he gave to the Detroit Economic Club in August 2016 after he secured the Republican Party presidential nomination. He says Representative Tlaib, who was not in Congress at the time, "was screaming like a lunatic," before adding, "There's no way she stands for the values of Michigan. The president goes on to say he will win the state again in 2020, as well as Minnesota, where Representative Ilhan Omar lives. close
