Secretary Pompeo Calls Strike Against Soleimani the "Right Decision"

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo defends President Trump's decision to order a drone strike that killed Iran's top military commander, Qasem Soleimani near Baghdad airport in Iraq last week, saying there were "multiple pieces of information" considered and presented to the president and that the risks were evaluated. Citing Soleimani's record of "destruction" in the Middle East, the killing of an American contractor, and the recent attack on the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad, as well as ongoing efforts to build out a network to attack Americans in the future, Secretary Pompeo says the killing of Soleimani "was the right decision.
