At a Senate Appropriations subcommittee hearing on the president's homeland security budget, Senator John Kennedy (R-LA) presses Acting Homeland Security Secretary Chad Wolf on the administration's coronavirus response. Secretary Wolf confirms that there is not enough protective equipment, including masks and respirators for the American people. He also says the country is several months away from getting a vaccine to combat the virus. "You're supposed to keep us safe and the American people deserve some straight answers on the coronavirus and I'm not getting them from you," Senator Kennedy says in concluding his questioning of the secretary. close
