President Trump Calls It a "Great Day" for George Floyd As He Hails Latest Jobs Numbers

During a statement on the latest jobs numbers showing unemployment has dropped from 14.7 percent to 13.3 percent with the creation of 2.5 million jobs in May, President Trump says it's a "great day" for George Floyd who died in police custody on Memorial Day. “Hopefully, George is looking down right and saying this is a great thing that’s happening for our country. It’s a great day for him, it’s a great day for everybody," the president say. He also praises the work of the Secret Service and the National Guard in quelling protests, saying, "You have to dominate the streets, before adding that every American deserves equal and fair treatment from law enforcement. close
