White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany says the president is "appalled"by efforts to defund the police and says the administration is looking into its own police reform proposals. McEnany also says the president doesn't believe there is systemic racism in police forces around the country and that he still remains opposed to NFL players kneeling in protest, saying, it "does not respect our military." She declines to say if the president believes players should be fired for taking a knee. The press secretary's comments come just hours after Democrats on Capitol Hill unveiled a series of proposals to reform policing. close
