Philonise Floyd, the brother of George Floyd who died in police custody in Minneapolis on Memorial Day, testifies before a House Judiciary Committee hearing on racial profiling. He calls on lawmakers to bring about meaningful change and urges them to "do the right thing." In emotional testimony, he recalls the events that led up to his brother's death and the pain of watching the video. He says that police were originally called to the store where his brother was over an alleged counterfeit $20 note. "George wasn't hurting anyone that day. He didn't deserve to die over twenty dollars. I am asking you, is that what a black man's life is worth? Twenty dollars? This is 2020. Enough is enough," he says. close
