House Democrats Demand Intelligence Community Brief Members on Russian Bounties Report

Following a meeting at the White House on intelligence reports that Russia has being paying Taliban-linked militants to kill U.S. service members in Afghanistan, Congressional Democrats say they want to hear directly from Intelligence Community officials to get their take. House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer also criticizes the president for calling the story a "hoax" and says nothing he heard from today's briefing at the White House led him to believe it was a hoax, even if there were "different judgments as to the level of veracity" about the allegations. close
