"Good morning. I worked for the postal service for about 10 years in various jobs. I carried mail, I processed mail, and I also went out and did -- I also worked in statistical programming where we track to the mail as far as delivery date and different things like that. When I hear this postal system can't be trusted I wholeheartedly disagree. As a carrier we get to know our -- the people on our route and we saw mail piling up and we would go to check to make sure they were ok. They were doing a lot more than just delivering mail. They are probably the people that most people see every day. It is important and as a veteran coming back from Korea and not being able to find a job the postal service was the most veteran friendly organization and that got my start. I appreciate the time I spent there and I hope people will support the postal service and stop denigrating it." close
