During a news conference at the White House, President Trump is pressed on his claim that CDC Director Robert Redfield "made a mistake" when he told Congress in testimony earlier in the day that a coronavirus vaccine would not be widely available for distribution to the general public until late summer or fall of 2021. The president says he spoke to Dr. Redfield about his answer to a question from Senator John Kennedy (R-LA), but adds that he didn't tell him he made a mistake. The president goes on to say that he expects the vaccine to be available as early as mid-October or perhaps November or December at the latest and that hundreds of millions of doses would then be distributed close
