Representative Jamie Raskin, the lead House impeachment manager, makes his closing argument in his presentation of the case against former President Donald Trump that he should be convicted by the Senate for incitement of insurrection at the Capitol on January 6. He says the the constitutional jurisdiction argument must be let go because it is not relevant to the case before senators. He also poses a series of questions to the former president's counsels about his inactions in the immediate hours after the attack and why did he fail to condemn the attack on the day that it happened. Quoting Thomas Paine, he urged senators to "exercise their common sense" about what happened on January 6. close
