White House Says Neera Tanden Remains Budget Director Nominee

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki responds to several questions on Neera Tanden's nomination to be Office of Management and Budget director, saying she is still the nominee and that they are working to build support and find one Republican to support her. Asked if Tanden had offered to withdraw her name from consideration, Psaki would only say that the White House is "working in close touch with Neera... That's not the stage we're in.... The stage we're in is working to continue to fight for her nomination." close
